Sensitive amendments are planned for this house to suit the needs of the family who live here. We are pleased that planning has been obtained in a conservation area. Our application included several 3d sketches to assist the planners in visualizing the proposals, and their affect on neighbours.

We were really impressed with the way Brunskill listened to what we wanted and worked with that whilst also injecting creative ideas to help produce a really strong design. We are delighted with the outcome.
We decided we needed to reorganise the plan of our large house in the Conservation Area. We wanted to see what Brunskill could do for us. They came up with an idea that has transformed the way the house feels, rearranging space to enable us to plan for our future needs as well as current wishes.
They provided a comprehensive coordinating service, providing very detailed plans and specifications for the Builder. We felt this was worth the fee in keeping things organised and to a very high standard in keeping with the Victorian property. All the building regulations aspects had been checked beforehand. They also arranged the Building Contract and introduced the builder. So, even when one of our suppliers had problems, it went smoothly and everyone who see the house really likes it.

Our sample library for interal, external materials and products, is growing ever larger,
useful for helping clients see the end vision and saving their time by making multiple decisions at one time.
And one more thing, in the office...
Lastly, summer is 'work experience ' time for young Students. As usual we have had some fabulous bright young sparks joining us in the office learning from the experts. Wonderful.

We are delighted our clients have recently received planning permission for this minimalist addition to a house within the Conservation area in St Albans. The addition will have a glazed element to the roof, which will cover the open plan living space.
The Planners commented in their report, on the light airy nature of the design.
The patio will be stonework, the levels of this were altered several times to try to ensure there would be no objections from anyone concerned. Large glass insulated doors, which open to the garden, will be designed to ease the transition from inside to out. The threshold will be kept low. Modern design of garden trellis is part of our scheme.
The photo below indicates the type of interior that could be created, once the work has been taken forward.

Our extension style is 'in keeping' with the existing building and will use carefully matching materials.
The new space will contain a kitchen and dining space which will enjoy views over the city. There are other extensions for garden facilities also planned.
